Drove by on my way home the other night and saw a place that was open late night and thought I have to try it! My wife and I got the butter chicken with rice, rice pudding, garlic naan and my daughter got the chicken nuggets. Everything was delicious. I was able to choose my spice level which I thought was awesome. The owner was really nice and to my surprise she was also the chef! Glad to see new businesses opening up. Will definitely be back again soon especially since we are night owls and they are open until 2 am.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 4/5

This is the best Indian food you're going to find on the South Shore. There's not only some classic North Indian food, but really yummy Bengali food as well. It's not restaurant style, which I don't see as a con, and tastes homemade - as if you're visiting close family. You can taste the love and passion in it. I unfortunately live too far from my own family so it's so nice to have a place in Weymouth that provides such delicious, healthy, homestyle Indian food.
I ordered naan, palak paneer, fish curry, and samosas. It was all delicious and perfectly seasoned. As a heads up, the fish curry has bones, but they're easy to spot. Best fish curry I've had.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5

This family run Kolkata (Calcutta) may be the only example of authentic Bengali cuisine in Massachusetts. The food is delicious. The spices are layered and subtle and come across as a fine wine might with waves of flavor. You will recognize many of the names of their dishes, but if you are looking to find the same boring Chicken Tikka you can find at any other Indian Restaurant, this place may not be for you. The spices are different and more abundant. The flavors more complex and interesting. A bit bolder and more grown-up to the Western palate than run-of-the-mill. Even the rice seems special and is an ultra long grain basmati. Try the goat on the bone. Or compare your go-to Indian favorite for a new perspective and experience. This place was an amazing find—a true hidden gem! Nestled in a mini-mall in Weymouth, it serves authentic Kolkata specialties that instantly took me back home. I ordered the Fish Fry (A-5) and Egg-Chicken Chowmein (A-10), and both delivered exactly what I was hoping for.
For the chowmein, I went with the moderate-spicy option. It turned out quite mild—still delicious—but next time I’ll definitely go for the spicier version. The Fish Fry, however, was the star: fresh, perfectly seasoned, and wonderfully crunchy. We Bengalis take our fish seriously, and while Fish and Chips are everywhere in Boston and Massachusetts, the Kolkata-style Fish Fry—made famous by pioneers like Apanjan and Mitra Café—is in a league of its own. This is the first place I’ve found here that truly gets it right.
Portion sizes were generous, exactly as they should be. It’s a refreshing change from the small portions served at many Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants in Massachusetts that still charge premium prices. The amount of noodles in my A-10 was easily comparable to a large serving from a standard Chinese takeout spot. This restaurant understands that in the U.S., large portions are the norm—and they deliver.

This spot has officially become my absolute favorite weekend takeaway ritual, delivering an authentic taste of home with massive portions that keep me coming back every single week. Stepping inside to pick up your food is an experience in itself; the warm Bengali ambience, complete with classic songs playing softly in the background, instantly sets a nostalgic and welcoming vibe. As for the food, the quality is unmatched. The Mutton Biryani is the undisputed star of the menu—the meat is incredibly tender, rich in flavor, and cooked to absolute perfection, while the fragrant, long-grain basmati rice is beautifully layered with spices. The Chicken Biryani is just as impressive, featuring juicy, well-marinated chicken that never dries out. They are incredibly generous with their serving sizes, packing the containers to the brim with zero skimping on the meat, making it the ultimate comforting, hearty weekend feast. At last a genuine Kolkata/Bengali food place. The flavors that I missed just popped back into all the five senses. When we look for food Indian food it will give the spices but when you say it’s KOLKATA Indian food then our taste buds is looking for the places we ate on the streets of Kolkata.
I devoured the mutton and puri all by myself taste and flavor of mutton khuasa was excellent. I will surely visit this place when driving by or home sick to taste the flavors of THE CITY OF JOY. for me the drive from New Hampshire is worth all the money.

Delicious home style takeout Bengali cuisine with every dish made with so much love by the owner/chef. Loved all the dishes especially Chicken Thakurbari and Malai Shrimp - it tasted amazing with the hot parathas. We also ordered Chana Dal, spicy mushrooms and paneer which were very flavorful too.
The owner was extremely sweet and friendly and took time to explain the dishes to us. The owner is incredibly warm, kind, and accommodating, always going out of her way to customize dishes to our family’s preferences and spice tolerance without hesitation. That level of personal attention is something you simply don’t find at bigger commercial Indian restaurants.As for the food, the quality and consistency speak for themselves. Their lamb dishes are out of this world—rich, deeply flavorful, and fall-apart tender. Pairing that lamb with hot, fresh puris is pure comfort and easily takes you to another universe. What "service" were you missing? Did you expect a sommelier to pair a vintage Pinot with your tiffin box? A red carpet rolled out to the register? Stopped in for a snack, but will be going back to try some of the meals. Definitely a pick up to go kind of place with only a few seats, but nice enough to wait in. We stuck to a couple things from the appetizer menu and started with samosas. They were delicious with just the right hit of spice for me. They do say on the menu they'll adjust the spice level on the dishes if you want. Really enjoyed the chicken roti wrap too, it was on the app menu, but I could just get that and call it lunch.
